return of jenny and mike
|
| you may remember jenny and mike from their stellar date video back in december 2007. i shot their actual wedding up in salt lake city utah in january 2008 and i can honestly say that it is the coldest i have ever been in my entire life. during the photoshoot on the temple grounds jenny and mike's awesome photographer amanda stephan decided we should go inside for a few to thaw out. i kid you not i literally had to pry my fingers from my camera. it hurt so bad - but i played it tough and just hid under my hoodie in complete agony hoping we wouldn't go back outside (no hard feelings guys - it was cold).
moving on from my whining . . . . here is jenny and mikes intro for their dvd. i don't often use any live audio in these cuts because it kind of detracts from the whole "cinematic" theme i'm looking for. this time around it was different . . . i have about 10 solid sound bites of mike screaming to the world "we did it!" or "this is my wife!" - so it had to make it in the intro cut. these two are awesome and amazing to work with. |
| here is my iphone photo to show just how cold it was. i probably would have lost a limb if it weren't for my burton ronin jacket. crispy. |

get out of my shot!
|
| have to share this because it was completely intentional and i love that i work with photographers who have a sense of humor and that will fight back a little bit. this shot is from Ashlland Photography. we did a temple shoot last week and as we were walking to a spot to get all the family photos done i decided to jump in for a cameo. bridget and alex will probably want this for their album - especially with that amazing face i am throwing in the shot. stellar. |

bj & alexis
|
| this is my second wedding with the sandstrom family. i shot ryan and karen's video about a year or so ago and now we are back together for bj and alexis. it is always amazing to see two families that never met come together and have a great time. the reception was held last night at the superstition mountain golf club - which is a personal favorite of mine when it comes to reception venues ( and golf courses as well - the course is in in pristine condition).
here is the photo session portion of their video with photographer mark mabry. |

natalie & logans intro
|
| this morning i finished logan and natalies wedding video and then i took some time to sift through all the footage i shot on their wedding day to see if there were any clips that i may have missed that needed to be in the final edit. i started finding these funny little moments and out of focus pieces that somehow seemed just seemed to go together. i then spent the next hour searching through itunes looking for the perfect song to put all those random clips together. i found this super simple piano track . weddings are about the details and every wedding brings something new to the table. i love the way this cut feels. |

kim & lee part dos
|
| i have been inundated as of late with amazing creative projects ( no complaints there ). i love when i have a chance to break away from shooting weddings for a while because it allows me to come back to the edit bay on those weddings with entirely new ideas. it is my hope that i have something new and creative to offer in every wedding that i shoot and edit.
kim and lee tied the knot last november and i finally put the wrap on their wedding video edit. this particular clip is actually from the heart of the ceremony portion of their video. instead of cutting a traditional ceremony clip i decided to add a little more emotion by adding in a few cuts from the photoshoots that flint at flint photography directed at stonebrook. |
